About Me
Hi, I’m Jaylin – photographer and founder of Journey Views.
Born and raised in Miami, Florida, I was surrounded by skyscrapers, warm beaches and a rich blend of cultures that nourished my creativity. My passion for photography started with my mom, who taught me how to properly use a camera. Back then, it was just a hobby; a way to capture a memory.
Anyways, I always knew I was meant to help people, just wasn't sure how. In high school, I joined the biomedical magnet program with dreams of becoming a doctor. Later, I pursued a degree in Criminology and Psychology, hoping to become a forensic psychologist. But life had other plans.
While in college, I joined a sorority and took on the roles of Public Relations and Social Media Management, as well as Merchandise Coordinator. That meant always having a camera in hand, designing chapter merchandise and managing our online presence. It was in those moments, capturing the memories of others, as well as my own, that I realized, photography was something for me to pursue.
After graduating, I worked at a marketing agency, which sharpened my skills in branding, content creation and storytelling. Through it all, one thing remained constant: my love for helping others and sharing stories.
That’s the heart of Journey Views. My brand is where passion meets purpose. Where creativity, compassion and storytelling collide to create magic.
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m drawing, painting, making jewelry, traveling, hanging with my cats, or exploring new places with my amazing boyfriend. I believe my soul, as well as everyone else's, has a purpose on Earth. Through Journey Views, I aim to capture that and remind others just how beautiful life really is.
